Core focus

This unit provides a broad introduction to the diversity of the 22 countries that make up the Arab League. It starts by exploring some perceptions of the Arab region and introduces the geography, history, culture and economics of the region. The region is one of great diversity and is experiencing great change. There is huge wealth in the countries which have oil reserves, but opportunities and challenges face all the countries of the region.
